Greenwich Country Day School is an independent, co-educational day school with a current enrollment of over 1400 students in grades N-12, and a faculty and staff of over 350. The original Old Church Road campus is home to grades N-8. The High School, established in 2019, is located less than two miles away on Stanwich Road. Greenwich Country Day School seeks an Aquatics Director for its Summer Camp Program, running from June 29 to July 31, 2026. Compensation: 6k - 8.5k.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aquatics programming, including daily pool operations, scheduling, lessons, and supervision
  • Ensure all pool activities follow established safety protocols and best practices
  • Maintain clear group and lifeguard assignments and smooth transitions throughout the swim day
  • Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies or safety concerns
Qualifications:
  • Strong background in aquatics, swimming, or water-based instruction
  • Experience supervising staff and children in a camp, school, or athletic setting
  • Current lifeguard certification (or ability to obtain prior to camp)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain prior to camp)
  • Water Safety Instruction certificate strongly preferred. 
  • Prior collegiate swimming, water polo, or coaching experience strongly preferred
