The original Old Church Road campus is home to grades N-8. The High School, established in 2019, is located less than two miles away on Stanwich Road. Founded in 1926, Greenwich Country Day School is a family school where innovative teaching is encouraged as teachers model and foster a love of learning, challenge and inspire children toward academic excellence, and cultivate students’ interests and talents outside of the classroom. We value purposeful and personal learning in a joyful environment, with emphasis on the development of character, creativity, and a sense of personal value, along with strong academic skills. GCDS is committed to graduating ethical, confident leaders who possess a strong sense of purpose.
GCDS is fortunate to have built a large endowment, which helps to fund competitive salaries and benefits, a robust professional development program, and up to $5,000 annual tuition assistance for graduate school. GCDS will provide housing on campus or nearby.
Greenwich Country Day School seeks a Middle School Production Lab Teacher, Grades 6-8, to start in August 2026. The ideal candidate will teach Production Lab, a course that provides support to students and meets their individual needs. Production Lab focuses on foundational and skill-driven learning. Daily mini-lessons are designed to build organization, study skills, and executive functions. In addition, students preview and review academic course content. Students gain an understanding of metacognition and reflect on the learning process. Learning Specialists collaborate with colleagues and provide professional development opportunities. They serve as a resource for all students and adults to provide fundamental study skills and ongoing development of pedagogical techniques. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students to support their learning needs and be comfortable providing support in one-on-one, small group, or whole class settings.
Diversity is a core value at GCDS, and we seek candidates who demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion. Candidates from underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
